The International Kokondo Association

Kokondo Karate and Jukido Jujitsu are sister systems under the umbrella of the International Kokondo Association (IKA).  To ensure consistent & quality self-defence training, IKA certifies all instructors (Sensei) and regulates class procedures & sets standards for all techniques.  All active IKA instructors are certified by Shihan Arel and Master Howard.  All Sensei in the Kokondo have current membership in the IKA.  To be considered for rank advancement, students must also have a current membership in the IKA. The International Kokondo Associations center of operation is South Windsor, Connecticut , USA.

One outstanding quality of IKA that sets it apart from other traditional schools of Martial Arts is that the IKA is a closed organization.  One motivation  behind this policy is to keep members out of the cross hairs of conflicting politics.  Secondly keeping a closed system that ensures students will receive a full and comprehensive set of techniques that easily flow together instead of a mixture of ideals and kata that relies on many different principles.

Besides the body of knowledge within the IKA is so tremendous that a practitioner will have ample subject matter to fulfill their Martial Arts appetite for a life long passion.  Kokondo-Ka learn that the goal is not perfection but self improvement because there is always more that can be done to make a student better.
